Rosemary and Thyme are not blood siblings, but as far as they know, they are. Both had rather difficult and life-threatening beginnings. We all know there is animal abuse out there, and AAS does not believe in giving the abuse a platform, so this is Rosemary and Thymes stories when we received them: Rosemary was rescued and brought to AAS with uncontrollable nonstop shaking. She was merely 2 weeks old and couldn’t take a bottle because it would not stay in her mouth. She had to be wrapped like a burrito and tube fed for 2 weeks. Several vets examined her and more were sent videos of her violent shaking. No one knew what it could be, a guess was trauma. It was hard for the foster mom to keep weight on Rosemary, she increased her feedings (and her baths). Six weeks later her shaking was reduced to a tremor and now miraculously they are gone. Throughout her struggles, she shared her residence with Thyme.
Thyme was part of a litter of four which AAS received at one day old. One day old kittens need an enormous amount of care. Unfortunately three of them did not survive and Thyme was alone. So the two infants (Rosemary and Thyme) were put together and within seconds they were wrapped together and cuddling as littermates do. The kittens grew together, both became healthy, happy and bonded kittens. They fight and wrestle as healthy littermates do. Adopt A Stray truly believes that these kittens are meant to be together and so these two are a duo adoption.
About their personalities: Rosemary is extremely rambunctious, energetic and really only cares about Thyme. Thyme on the other hand is a sweetheart, she loves to be held like a baby and is warm and cuddly.
