Roxy is a beautiful little girl that is ready to find out how wonderful life can be when you are safe and loved and part of a family. You can see in her eyes that she is still a little worried and who can blame her? She's had a rough start in life and is still a little unsure of what's going to happen next. She was born in and rescued from a junk yard. When she was found, her paws were covered in tar that had made it uncomfortable to walk and was difficult to remove. While her rescuers know that trapping her, removing her from the only life she has known and scrubbing her sore paws is the beginning of a better life for Roxy, it can be quite traumatizing to a scared young cat!!
Roxy is now safe in a foster home but her life isn't care-free yet. She spends her week ends in a cage at PetsMart so that families who are looking for a new cat can meet her. For a little girl that's just learning how wonderful life in a home can be, having to spend time in a cage in a noisy store and going back and forth between a home and the store can be confusing and stressful. She's adjusting well in her foster home. She gets along well with other cats and cat-friendly dogs. Roxy is ready for a family that understands that a young cat that has been through so much will need lots of love and patience and will give her the time she needs to feel safe and secure with her new life and understand that it is finally forever. Someone who enjoys the feelings that come from knowing how you can change a deserving animals life forever will soon have an affectionate, fun, loving companion for years to come.
