At the cul de sac near a feral colony, a bag of dry cat food was left along with a tub of litter and litter pan. It was thought at first to be a donation. A few days later however, it was reported that a rather pampered looking cat with a sociable disposition appeared at the site. The young female cat's colorful Torti coat had been sculpted to resemble that of a lion. M&M's long fur was left full around the face. The body closely shaved as was the tail except for the customary tuft of fur at the end. She did look like a miniature version of a big jungle cat. Hence she was called MGM ( movie studio with the lion logo ). This name did not last long. She was quickly renamed, M&M.
M&M, is the sweetest little thing. Just like the candies. She is all fluff and love. All she wants to do is cuddle, purr, be petted, rub up against you. She likes her tummy tickled, her head rubbed, her chin, neck, ears scratched, her nose her wiskers patted. Sigh! You can't help but feel the love.
Upon her vet examination it was revealed she was 2 yrs old ( although, she is very kittenish and does not look or act her age ), she had been spayed and all four paws had been declawed. It was most fortunate that she was discovered when she was and able to be fostered at Adopt a Stray. Declawed ( especially all four paws ) cats are totally defenseless out doors, not to mention being left at a wild, feral cat colony.
M&M wants to know what kind of person would just drop her off in a feral colony after having her declawed on all four feet. How in the world did they expect her to survive? Even cats with claws seldom live more than a month when being dropped of in similar situations. She was doomed to a horrible death. This wonderful cat is incredibly grateful for her rescue and shows it to EVERYONE who wants to meet her. She has yet to meet a person she doesn't like.
