Road debris such as tire tread, tree branches, hubcaps or objects falling from other vehicles is a big problem on South Florida roads - but what happens when that "piece" of road debris is a small kitten! That is what happened to Le Rue and luckily she had a happy ending due to a wonderful and caring woman who saved her life. Le Rue's Story: While stopped at a traffic light a very observant driver saw a tiny kitten pop out from under the car in front of her. The woman immediately jumped out of her car, kept traffic stopped and ran to catch the kitten. She was able to catch the kitten quickly because the kitten was so scared it just froze in it's tracks. The woman took the kitten to her vet to be checked over and other than being dirty, greasy and scared, the kitten passed with flying colors. Adopt A Stray was contacted and Le Rue was placed into a foster home. Initially, she was confused and scared in her new environment but she's quite a trooper and caught on quickly and within a day she was "running" her new foster home. Le Rue is a gorgeous calico girl that looks like she was put together by an expert quilt maker. She is a happy, playful and social girl - she's bright-eyed and curious and everything is a game to her. She is extremely sweet and loving and enjoys being nestled in your lap, cuddled in your arms or wrapped around your neck! She was definitely born to be somebody's sweetheart.
