Update (11/23/13):  Zhivago has been in his foster home for several weeks now and we have gotten a chance to know him and he is such a wonderful boy. He is with other kitties now and gets along well with everyone. If another cat is initially aggressive with Zhivago, he backs off. One of his companions right now is Lancelot - who has an endless supply of boyish energy and can kinda drive the other cats crazy a little - and Zhivago will tolerate him and chase & wrestle with him for a little while but mostly he is pretty laid back. When we first got him, he seemed to go through a period of depression and we were all concerned because he seemed so sad. After having a loving home with someone that was home most of the time, being in a foster home is not the same at all. He doesn't get to sleep in a big bed with his special person. He isn't cuddling in a lap to watch T.V. and he has gone from being the one & only to sharing the attention with a few. But he is definitely getting and returning love. Zhivago is a very, very people oriented young cat (just about 1 year old) that loves getting attention, enjoys being held and is very gentle. He will be  wonderful company for his new family and their feline companions. He has not been with dogs in his foster home but we think he will be fine with an experienced "cat-friendly" dog if he is introduced properly.

 Original post:  Zhivago's elderly owner passed away - her house was condemned - and Zhivago was just put outside on the street after enjoying the first 9 (or so) months of his life indoors and loved. Fortunately, he stayed safe for the next couple of weeks by staying close to home - waiting for his person to come home. A wonderful lady started feeding him and he would come running every time he heard her voice until, after a few weeks, Adopt A Stray found out about him and was able to rescue him and get him into a foster home. He has been gentle and affectionate since day one. He absolutely seems very happy to be back safe and cared for inside with clean beds and fun toys to play with.

Zhivago is a Russian Blue mix and has beautiful, unusual, faint blue on blue markings that are really only noticeable in the right light. He is a very handsome, sweet affectionate boy.  He seems to be very laid back and should fit into most any home.
