Bentley is a gentleman (Cat), sweet, loving, affectionate and vocal at times. This panther like cat loves to be with people, he has the Russian blue personality traits, loyal, fun loving and smart. He is a true companion cat, craving to receive and give affection. Bentley takes to new people immediately, young or old, if he’s lying down he will reach out to touch you. None of this makes any sense when you find out how he came to be an Adopt A Stray kitty. 

A friend of AAS feeds feral cats at a colony, the cats there are not domesticated and run from people. This friend had trapped all the cats at the colony and have them sterilized before returning them back. She feeds them daily and makes sure that they are well taken care of. One day she found a large Tupperware container with a blanket in it and in the dumpster was a litter box. Someone had taken this beautiful cat and put him outside in this Colony.  Obviously, he was very different than the rest of the cats there because he was not Feral, he was friendly and loving.

Two months later Adopt A Stray was contacted because this cat, who is now Bentley had a swollen chin and seemed to have some pain. Adopt A Stray was able to accept him into a foster home, site unseen. It seems that he had allergies to fleas, causing his swollen chin. He was vetted and is in good health. It takes a few weeks for the swelling to go down after the medication. But, Bentley is ready for a real home. Why somebody would do that to this exceptionally sweet cat we cannot fathom!
