From the day he found himself trembling in a have-a-heart trap, Beemer has felt safest
being held. It's hard to explain why a kitten that is afraid of people feels most secure
when being snuggled in their arms but, those are the kittens that rescuers know will
end up friendly and adoptable. Sure enough, he is now comfortable with people, other
cats and cat-friendly dogs!
Beemer has come a long, long way. For a while after he was rescued from under a
parking garage, even though he calmed down in your arms, picking him up was a huge
challenge!! He was terrified!! Now, he comes running up to his foster mom to play and
to be picked up. It has helped to be around other very friendly kittens and follow their
lead. Like lots of cats, Beemer gets nervous in new situations and will need some time
to adjust to a new home and family. He should be in a home with at least one other
cat to play and cuddle with. He has a gorgeous girlfriend that he would be very happy
to be adopted with if you are considering 2 kittens. Check out PINKY on our website.
She will also be with Beemer at Petsmart in Aventura on the week ends until one or
both of them get adopted.
Beemer is waiting to meet you! He hangs out at PetSmart in Aventura every Saturday
and Sunday but if you want to meet him during the week, just fill out the cat adoption
application on our website. He is really hoping for a family with a lot of LOVE & that
understands a little bit shyer kitty and will give him the extra attention and time that
he needs to feel safe and secure. Another friendly cat in the house and lots of hands-on-
time would definitely speed things along and soon his new family will be enjoying all
the PURRS, CUDDLING and LOVE that Beemer is waiting to share!!
