When Panchita was a young kitten, she was found on a delivery truck. Shortly after the driver discovered her, he made a delivery to an Adopt A Stray volunteer who agreed to foster her and help her find a home. Panchita was adopted shortly after. For 4 years Panchita was in a home and bounded closely with her owner. Unfortunately 4 years later, someone in her home decided they didn't want to deal with cat hair and litter boxes anymore so both Panchita and her former owner have broken hearts. As you can tell from her pictures, Panchita is absolutely terrified being removed from the only home she knows. Check back soon for updates as Panchita adapts to her new home at the Pembroke Pines Petsmart. Volunteer Update: The unusual gray marking on Panchita's head draws the attention of most visitors to the adoption center but many visitors don't stay long enough for Panchita to warm up to them. Panchita gets along fine with the other cats, but mostly she loves her quiet time and has some favorite perches at the Pembroke Pines Petsmart where she can just sit and watch. Her favorite thing, however, is to get petted. She loves her back scratched and arches her butt up and then rolls over to be petted on her side and head. You can also entice her with a string or feather toy and watch her enjoy some play time. It may take a few minutes for Panchita to warm up to you, but it's well worth the wait. If you can provide the loving forever home Panchita deserves, you can fill out an application for Panchita at the Pembroke Pines Petsmart or go to www.adoptastray.ws/applications/ to fill out an application online.
