This feisty young kitty is full of spunk and energy! Kaiya is super playful and loves attention and cuddling but is too rambunctious for young children. We don't know what happened to her mom and litter mates, but Kaiya was rescued alone and had a few little things we needed to clear up so she had to spend a few weeks by herself - those important weeks when kittens usually learn how to play politely with their mom and siblings! Kaiya plays very enthusiastically and can get a little too excited. She is still learning that your hand is not another kitty and has to be reminded to play more gently! Her passion and eagerness (clutching & nipping!) can be a little startling - even frightening - for children and first-time cat owners!
It is likely that Kaiya will always have the vim and vigor she now has for life and play and is hoping for a family that will enjoy her antics and keep up with her. She loves other cats but they don't all appreciate her form of fun & games. In her foster home, she has learned which cats will play with her and, because there are plenty of those, she leaves the others alone. She likes to run and chase and wrestle. She would like an energetic, enthusiastic playmate that is not easily intimidated (larger than her would be good!) If your current cat is a senior or a couch potato, Kaiya would probably be annoying to them at the very least! She would be fine as the only kitty but needs a family that will be inventive with games and spend plenty of quality play time with her.
Kaiya is a kitty that will never let you get bored!! Every cat is different and it is important to find the right one for you and your family.
