Update 11/12/12: Ivy got the opportunity to move into the Adoption Center at the Aventura PetSmart and she jumped at it! Now you can meet her 7 days a week and she can hardly wait for a loving family to come and find her there. Today was her first full day in the catroom and she took it in stride without any fuss at all. Most of the day, she watched her new roomies from the security of her private condo but in the afternoon, she had a little time to run around and play and check out the cat trees and new toys. That was pretty fun and a few nice people came in to visit and she was polite & friendly to everyone. Only 24 hrs in the room and she didn't hiss or hide or show any distress at all. She spent quite a bit of time playing with a little boy and the round toy that she and the boy could send a ball flying around in circles around a cool cardboard scratch pad. If she is still there in a week, she will join the others when they are out. Ivy is used to being with several other nice kitties and, although her sister has already been adopted, she has always enjoyed the company of other cats & most people she has met. Chances are, she would probably fit right into your family and be just the companion you are looking for! You can meet her at PetSmart every morning and evening or anytime during the week end.

She and her sister, Fern, were rescued from a high-kill shelter. They love everyone and are so ready to be part of a loving family. They are both good with other cats, friendly dogs, kids - the whole family! If you have a kitty that is sitting at home by itself half the day, Ivy would be the perfect companion for them. Ivy and Fern can be adopted together or seperately - just as long as they have someone to love and lots of fun stuff to do. Ivy will be hanging out at the Aventura PetSmart on the week ends until she gets adopted but you don't have to wait until then to meet her. Just fill out the application on the internet and her foster mom will make arrangements for you to meet her any time!
