Default, his 3 siblings and his mom were rescued after mom was found in an old shed trying to find food for herself so she could feed her newborns. Once mom cat and her 4 babies were safe in a foster home, she willingly took on two other kittens who were found without a mom.

Default was named because with 5 red tabbies that looked almost exactly alike it was hard to tell them apart. Each of the kittens had some identifying mark, so when everyone else was identified "by default" this kitten was left. He is a very active little kitten and fortunately has plenty of other kittens to play with. In addition to wrestling with his brothers and sister, he loves chasing a feather toy, batting toy mice around the room and playing kitty hockey with a plastic ball.

Default is naturally curious, checking out everything that is brought into his world........of course, he wants to know "can I play with this new thing or will this new person play with me?" He is becoming quite the lap kitty. He enjoys a little "lap" time every time anyone spends a little time in the foster room where he stays. Even when the his siblings are encouraging him to play, he "insists" on getting in his lap time.

Default and his siblings are all little "purr" monsters....you can hear their purrs from far away. They also have a very healthy curiosity...open a drawer, or a cabinet door and they all want to explore.
