It was apparent from her demeanor that she did not belong there with the other stray cats. She would put her paws on the knees of the people feeding her, begging them to pick her up. A few months after she first arrived, an Adopt A Stray volunteer was able to foster her and she is now living inside and loving it. She loves to be petted, loves to sit on your lap, and if you like being gazed at with grateful admiring eyes, Harper is your girl. (Although frankly, she doesn't really care who is giving her attention, just as long as she's getting it.) We are still learning about her personality, but believe she will be a true "meet and greet" cat - meeting your visitors at the door and requesting that they pet her before proceeding. Check back soon for updates. Update: Harper has easily integrated into her foster home with several other cats. She continues to like sitting on a lap and loving anyone who will give her a little attention. She had a lot of fun playing on a waterbed, and continues to be fascinated by it. Check out the video of her first time on the bed. And the girl can jump! Just swing a feather toy around and watch this girl jump and do somersaults in the air. Maybe she can get an audition with Cirque du Soleil. She loves every minute of her playtime. If you are interested in an aloof kitty, who "lets" you pet her when she's in the mood, DO NOT adopt Harper. If you are sitting, there's a 80% chance she will be in your lap...and if you ignore her for too long, her little paw will touch your face just to remind you she is there and in need of some extreme petting. She likes her head and face petted "hard". It's like she can't get close enough to you. Harper is a true delight. Fill out the application and come meet this cutie pie. Harper is estimated to be about 2 years old and has been spayed and fully vetted. She is ready for her forever home. You can meet this wonderful kitty by appointment with an approved application.
