Special Needs...No Just Special

Target was rescued as a new born, when his eyes opened they were darker than the normal blue eyed kitten. His foster mom didn't think much at first but then took him to a vet ophthalmologist. As it turns out, Target was born without all his upper eyelids. This means he can't blink like we do, but fortunately he is able to squint to close and lubricate his eyes. He has been back several times to the ophthalmologist and she is pleased how he is doing. No special care, just lots of love and occasional ointment.

Target also has a small neurological issue in his legs due to his mother being sick prior to his birth. Nothing is wrong with Target health wise, he just has a extra little dance in his step.  
He requires no special care except lots of love and attention. He loves other cats and kittens, plays like crazy and loves to look into your eyes and run over to you as fast as he can.

His foster mom says that Target is one of the happiest kittens she has ever had.  He has so much love to give and is a healthy and loves other cats and dogs. Target has been "caught" both spooning and laying in the arms of other cats.

You can meet this wonderful kitty most Saturdays at the Pembroke Pines Petsmart between 12 and 6 pm.
