We will probably never solve the mystery of how or why beautiful, friendly, affectionate, purr-when-you-touch-them cats or kittens end up in horrible places - alone, lost and starving - both literally and for love. It is less surprising and more common to find them lost & starving and impossible to get close to. But in Jett's case, it was almost like he had a sense of where to wait to be rescued and showed how grateful he was from the start by gifting his rescuer with enthusiastic purrs and headbutts - just in case she had any doubts as to what he needed. Jett is adorable - in every way. He has a beautiful black coat (his pictures don't do him justice) but it is so much more than that. As soon as you meet him, you get a sense of his wonderful spirit and get drawn into him. And when he turns those golden eyes on you, you feel like he is looking into your soul. There are no "ordinary" cats and Jett is just more proof of that. He has the same fun qualities that lots of other cats have - he is playful, confident, agile, lovable and entertaining - but you know as soon as you meet him that you have made the acquaintance of a very special little boy! We believe that Jett was probably born around the middle of September and he is the perfect age to start the rest of his life as the new member of a loving family. We hope that 15 years from now his family will be telling their friends about the special day they adopted him and about all the wonderful memories they have because of loving him.

Jett is on the calmer side and very gentle and laid-back. He would be the purrfect kitty for kids and a house-hold with other nice cats. He hasn't been around dogs in his foster home but we feel sure he would be fine with cat-friendly dogs. He just seems to take everything in stride. He spent the first day or two after being rescued just sitting quietly and observing the other kittens and then started very politely joining in the fun. He has found his confidence and he is friendly and playful with all the other kitties but his very favorite place to be is in your arms or lap!
