Please contact info@adoptastray.ws for more information about this pet. On Tuesday February 2nd (2016) this precious, sweet, wonderful dog was thrown out the window of a moving car. Luckily an Adopt A Stray volunteer was taking a break at work and saw it happen. She immediately ran over to see how he was and found that not only had he injured his leg during this unspeakable act of cruelty but was also severely underweight. Despite obvious abuse at the hands of humans, this trusting little guy came when the volunteer called and crawled on her lap when she sat down. The dog, now named Scrappy Doo, was examined and x-rayed by a vet on Wednesday who determined he has a dislocated hip and the head of the femur is broken. An orthopedic surgeon was consulted and Scrappy was scheduled for surgery on Monday February 8th. After surgery he will recuperate in an Adopt A Stray foster home until he is ready for adoption. Scrappy is a terrier mix about 10 months old, he currently weighs 13 lbs. (he should weigh about 22 lbs), he is extremely sweet, and gets along well with other dogs. His surgery will be expensive and we are asking for donations to help with the cost.
