Volunteer Application

Thank you for your desire to help the pets of Adopt A Stray. Volunteers are needed to keep the cats and dogs in our care socialized and loved, including getting them ready for adoption.
Volunteers are needed 3-6 PM and 6-9 PM Monday through Friday and 10 AM to 6 PM on Saturdays and Sundays at the PetSmart locations. Your schedule will be determined by your availability and AAS needs at the time. Volunteers at the PetSmart Stores are scheduled for a minimum 3 hour shift. Duties include keeping the cages and room clean, feeding the cats, providing information to potential adopters and perhaps most importantly, playing, petting and socializing the cats.
Additional volunteer opportunities include clerical, photography, data entry and fostering.

AAS does have a program for students who would like to receive their community hours. Students must be dedicated and responsible.

The following is the criteria:
-14 years or older
-a 100 hour committment
-accumulation of 100 hours before documentation for those hours is signed
-attendance in AAS Orientation Session
-$5 fee for AAS T-shirt
